Unbreakable

4 min read

They taught him lies before he knew the truth, — Wrapped falsehoods in the voices of those he trusted,

They taught him lies before he knew the truth,
Wrapped falsehoods in the voices of those he trusted,
And carved their stories into the walls of his mind
Until he mistook their echoes for his own.
Again and again,
The same poison wore different faces.
The same deception changed its clothing,
But the wound always carried the same name.
They told him what he was,
What he wasn't,
What he would never become.
And when he questioned the chains around his soul,
They convinced him the chains were his own hands.
So he vanished.
Not from the world,
But deeper than any shadow could follow.
He built a kingdom inside his thoughts,
A place where no one could twist his words,
No one could rewrite his memories,
No one could reach the child they had buried.
Years passed.
The world saw a man standing still,
But they never saw the war beneath his silence.
They never heard the armies of doubt
Marching through the halls of his mind.
He did not live.
He existed.
A ghost wearing skin,
A soul watching life through a window,
Waiting for a reason to return.
Until one day...
The mind that had carried every wound
Finally reached the edge of its endurance.
And something awakened.
Not rage.
Not hatred.
Not the darkness they had given him.
Something far more dangerous.
Clarity.
He looked back through the years
And saw the pattern hidden beneath the pain.
The same hands that broke him
Were the hands that unknowingly forged him.
He realized the attacks would never stop.
The wolves would always howl.
The storms would always come.
The manipulators would always seek cracks
In the walls of the innocent.
So he stopped building walls.
He built a fortress.
Not made of anger,
But wisdom.
Not made of fear,
But faith.
He gathered a family not bound by blood,
But by loyalty, truth, and purpose.
A shield for the wounded,
A refuge for the forgotten,
A sanctuary for those who had survived
The same invisible wars.
And behind those gates,
He finally learned peace.
But the old shadows still return.
They knock upon the doors of his life
With familiar voices and familiar tricks.
They bring confusion like a dagger,
Distraction like a disease,
And temptation disguised as concern.
They try to pull him away
From the path God placed beneath his feet.
But they do not understand.
They are fighting a man
Who already survived their greatest weapon.
A man who died a thousand deaths
Before he ever learned how to live.
A man who no longer absorbs darkness.
He transforms it.
Every insult becomes wisdom.
Every attack becomes fuel.
Every attempt to break him
Becomes another stone in the foundation
Of what he was called to build.
They throw curses at his doorstep,
And somehow blessings grow from the ashes.
They send storms toward his horizon,
And somehow rain feeds his harvest.
They believe they are slowing him down.
They do not realize
They are strengthening his purpose.
For the man they tried to bury
Was never meant to stay beneath the earth.
He was a seed.
And every wound they gave him
Became the soil.
Every lie became the darkness
Where roots learned to grow.
Every battle became the fire
That tempered his spirit.
Now he walks quietly.
Not because he is weak.
Because he no longer needs to prove
What God already knows.
The world may continue throwing stones,
But they forget one simple truth:
A man protected by faith,
Surrounded by love,
And guided by purpose...
Cannot be destroyed by those
Who never understood
What they were helping create.
