Not every seed grows where it first lands. Better Soil is a collection of 25 poems for anyone learning to leave old patterns and feel at home in themselves. Moving from inherited pain and unfinished goodbyes toward boundaries, rest, and renewal, these poems find meaning in ordinary things: a chair by a window, an open door, a seed waiting for better ground. There is room here for grief, anger, faith, and tenderness. There is also room to pause—to recognize that growth can be quiet, that leaving can be an act of care, and that a different future can begin with one small choice. For the reader who is still becoming, Better Soil offers words to sit with along the way.

Better Soil

Not every seed grows where it first lands. Some spend years beneath ground too hard to nourish them. People often mistake this for failure. It isn't. Environment shapes possibility. So does kindness. So does patience. The miracle isn't that growth takes time. The miracle is that life keeps searching for sunlight even after long winters. Perhaps we are built the same way.
